Miss Lilley loving trade
7:30 AM | WHEN Canadian teacher Robyn Lilley was told she could go on exchange in Australia her response was instant. “Yes, I’m in,” she said. “Miss Lilley” as she is known to her combined year 3 and 4class, has taken part in an exchange program where she swaps her job, house and country with a teacher from Lake Albert Public School (LAPS) for an entire year.
7:30 AM | NEWLY formed Group 20 club Bidgee Hurricanes will make its playing debut at the West Wyalong Knockout on February 24. Knockout organiser Peter Campbell confirmed Bidgee Hurricanes had taken up the last place in the 16-team draw for the two-day carnival at Ron Crowe Oval.

7:00 AM | ANY mystery surrounding Charles Sturt University’s (CSU) new vice-chancellor Professor Andrew Vann was quickly dispelled yesterday when he stepped out in Wagga to meet with 160 of his new colleagues. Sharing a laugh, Professor Vann spoke confidently of the institution’s future and said one of his main aims for the Wagga campus would be to further develop the online courses offered to students who undertake distance education.

Poulsen ‘heading for Junee’
6:30 AM | MISSING Sydney woman Kimberly Poulsen is thought to have been headed for Junee after she disappeared from a Sydney hotel, but no one has seen her – or, it seems, the man some believe she was planning to meet. Ms Poulsen was last with friends at the Earlwood Hotel at 2am on Thursday, but according to her family, CCTV footage that shows her leaving her Earlwood home at 7.50am on Friday has since surfaced.
Triple hat-trick put in history books
6:30 AM | JUNEE opening bowler Joe Crowder has etched his name in Riverina cricket folklore by pulling off a rare triple hat-trick. Playing on Saturday, Crowder took an incredible five wickets in five balls against Gundagai to record only the third known triple hat-trick in cricket history.
