Casey Tricodes Day a huge hit

29 Mar, 2010 10:56 AM
RACING fans turned out in droves for the annual City of Casey Tricodes Day at Cranbourne Racing Club on Sunday.

The event is the only Australian meet to hold thoroughbred, harness and greyhound races and featured 23 races at 15-minute intervals.

The favourites performed strongly in many races with Hearts and Arrows taking out the Belmark Rural Three-year-old Maiden Plate, Ten Years Gone winning the Greyhound Adoption Program Group 4/5 and Toulouse Lautrec claiming the City of Casey Three-year-old Pace.

El Spark showed class to win the Luxbet.com Showcase Class 1 Handicap from Regal Ida and Cheerful Jury.

Brent Evans rode Countcool to victory in the Wise Employment Maiden Plate while Bee and Jay ran well to take out the Choice Hotels Pace.
