The Dandenong women's team celebrated a four-point win against the Raiders, 81-77 and held onto top spot on the ladder on the back of a 13-game winning streak.
Down by four points going into the last quarter, the Rangers proceeded to shoot at 50 per cent over the closing period and nailed what became an important eight points from the foul line.
Stephanie Cumming (19 points), Faith Probst (14), Larissa Anderson (13) and Amelia Todhunter (11) were all important contributors in the Rangers' win.
■DANDENONG Rangers SEABL men's coach Warren Dawson has stood down for personal reasons after 11 years in the job.
Dawson will be replaced his assistant Andy Sherwell for the remainder of the season. Former SEABL Ranger David Godfrey will be his assistant.
Dandenong Basketball Association's operations manager Leigh Gooding said of the appointment: "Andy deserves a chance to lead his own team and prove he belongs at the SEABL championship level. We are excited to have Andy leading the team and David Godfrey as his support."
