DANDENONG kept its slim South East Australian Basketball League finals hopes alive with an 89-76 win against Canberra on Saturday night.
Coming off a midweek loss to Nunawading, the Rangers were staring down the barrel against Canberra when trailing by 12 points at half-time.
But a rousing 34 to 18 third period stopped the Gunners in their tracks.
Luke Fitzgerald (20 points), Vince Inglima (18), Brent Hobba (14), Jon Shepherd (12) and Lucas Walker (10 points, 10 rebounds) helped push the Rangers to victory.
Meanwhile, the Rangers' women's team continues to set the pace and finished the week with wins against Nunawading and Albury-Wodonga.
The trip up north on Saturday was always under control following a 39-27 first half, with the final 79-59 result against the Lady Bandits a solid win for the Rangers. Stephanie Cumming (18 points) and Clare Papavs (12) were the standouts.
