Council: residents show little interest in wards change

06 Feb, 2012 03:00 AM
Four three-councillor wards will replace Casey's current system of 11 councillors across six wards, if a Victorian Electoral Commission recommendation is accepted by the council.

The recommendation was released following a VCE review of wards and boundaries for the city.

The issue does not appear to have aroused great interest, with only five submissions received.

The four-ward system was supported by the Proportional Representation Society of Australia.
